There have been countless studies linking cell phone radiation to brain tumors, cancer, blindness, birth defects, autism, ADD, sleeping disorders, autoimmune illnesses and hypertension.

Mobile Phone Radiation Health Risks and Cancer

Dr. George Carlo, an expert in the field of Cell Phone EMF Research, was hired by the Cell Phone Industry in the '90's to head a 30 million dollar research program whose purpose was to prove that cell phones were safe. After 6 years of research, Dr. Carlo could find no evidence that cell phones were safe. In fact, his research showed that there was a direct link between cell phone radiation and cancer.

Cell Phone Research

Dr. Carlo's research showed that people who use cell phones have three times the risk of developing brain tumors, brain cancer and eye cancer. Dr. Carlo also found that radiation from cell phone use disrupted the blood/brain barrier, damaged DNA and caused micronuclei to enter the blood stream. All of his findings were corroborated by the European Union in 2004.

Another study on the hazards of cell phone radiation was done under the supervision of the World Health Organization (WHO). Dr. Lennart Hardell was head of the study conducted at the Orerbro Medical Center in Sweden. The study showed that people who used cell phones for less than 10 years faced a 20% higher risk of developing brain tumors. For those who used cell phones for over ten years, the risk of developing a brain tumor increased 80%. The study also found that brain tumors were 2.5 times more likely to be on the same side of the head on which the phone was held.

Cell Phone EMF Lawsuits

In 1993, a lawsuit was filed against the Cell Phone Industry by a man whose wife died of a brain tumor. The tumor was on the same side of her head where she held her cell phone and was shaped like the cell phone's antenna. The man lost the suit.

In 1999, another lawsuit was brought against the Cell Phone Industry, this time by a neurologist from Maryland who was diagnosed with a brain tumor on the same side of his head where he held his cell phone. The suit was dismissed. Shortly after he died.

Cell Phone Radiation Dangers and Health Hazards

Cell Phones were approved for consumer use by the FDA without any premarket testing and without any regulations on their use. The FDA has recently decided that more research needs to be done concerning cell phone safety after a new Swedish study revealed that cell phone users have a 240% increased chance of developing brain tumors on the same side of the head where they use their cell phone.

Cell Phone Radiation, Big Business and the W.H.O.

In 2002, Gro Harlem Brundtland, then head of the World Health Organization, told a Norwegian journalist that cell phones were banned from her office in Geneva. She went on to say that if she comes within 4 meters (13 feet ) of a cell phone, she begins to feel ill. Besides heading the WHO, Gro Harlem Brundtland is a medical doctor and was the former Prime Minister of Norway. This news was reported in the March 9, 2002 issue of the Dagblade newspaper. No other media outlet ran this story. The following week a public statement was made by Michael Repacholi, head of the WHO's International EMF Project, ridiculing Ms. Brundtland, his then boss, and her cell phone radiation concerns. Five months late Gro Harlem Brundtland announced she would step down from her leadership post at the WHO after having served just one term.
