What's the difference between the Star 3-Hole and the regular 3-Hole?
The Star 3-Hole clears wireless, microwave frequencies. The 3-Hole clears wired frequencies.
The 3-Hole has a white dot that you can align with magnetic north, should I align the star on the Star 3-Hole with magnetic north?
Nope. Not necessary. The Star 3-Hole's star is only there to distinguish it from the regular 3-Hole. No aligning needed.
Can I keep the Star 3-Hole portable?
Yes you can.
I have a laptop that has built in wireless that I hook up to when I'm out and about. Should I use the regular 3-Hole or the Star 3-Hole, or both?
